This article will cover how to provide Gapwise Consulting access to your Google Tag Manager account.
What is it?
Google Tag Manager is an easy way to help manage various tags on your website. These tags can be used to easily set up Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics and other analytics tools. They can also be used to create and send custom events to Google Analytics, like when a user clicks a button or performs some other specific action. This is highly useful for tracking custom conversions which can indicate the success of your various marketing channels.
What level of access is required and why?
If you currently use Google Tag Manager we will require edit access, otherwise you don’t need to perform any action. If it is needed we can set it up for you. Edit access will allow us to add certain events that can be tracked in Google Analytics, if necessary.
How do I grant access?
Step 1:
Log into your Google Tag Manager account at https://tagmanager.google.com/ and select the relevant container.
Step 2:
Navigate to the Admin section on the top menu.
Step 3:
Select ‘User Management’ under the accounts section.
Step 4:
Add a new user with the email address provided, and provide ‘Publish’ access.
